Pommerania is burned down and there are no Pommeranians anymore
Are there really none left ?
Today in Germany there are about 1.5 millions of Pommeranians, wo had to leave their homeland after the end of the war. It can only be estimated how many Pommeranians there are living still today worldwide. A number of about 5 millions seems to be realistic.That is to say, that in a couple of decades there will be no more Pommeranians besides the ones in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern.- Their descendants will also hardly remember, that they are Pommeranians. The fairy tale stories of their g-g-g-grandparents do not suffise to keep the living memories alive, not even when they are lcontinued from generation to generation.That is why it is a marvellous opportunity to exchange stories, reports, photos and thoughts through the WORLD WIDE WEB. To keep the memory alive of the moving historical past of this country and the characteristics of the Pommeranians, who once had their homeland there.

Pommernland ist abgebrannt und die Pommern gibt es nicht mehr.

Gibt es sie wirklich nicht mehr ? In Deutschland leben heute noch etwa I,5 MILLIONEN Pommern, die nach Kriegsende die Heimat verlassen mussten. Wieviele Pommern es heute noch weltweit gibt, kann nur geschätzt werden. Eine Zahl um 5 Millionen scheint realistisch. Das heißt in ein paar Jahrzehnten wird es also keine Pommern mehr geben außer in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern.- Ihre Nachkommen werden kaum noch wissen, dass sie Pommern sind . Die Märchenerzählungen ihrer Ur-Ur-Urgroßeltern reichen nicht aus, um lebendige Erinnerungen wach zu halten, auch dann nicht wenn sie durch Generationen fortgesetzt werden . Deshalb ist es eine wunderbare Möglichkeit über das WORLD WIDE WEB Erzählungen ,Berichte , Fotos und Gedanken auszutauschen . Um die bewegte geschichtliche Vergangenheit dieses Landes und die Eigentümlichkeiten der Pommern, die hier einst ihre Heimat hatten in Erinnerung zu behalten .
